I see modding as a hobby.
So I don't mind spending money on the car as im not into football or other similar things people spend quite a lot of money on.
-
As above really its a hobby even when i was 16 i had a silver and red yamaha aerox within a week i stripped it down exhaust rollers ect and even got the panels sprayed  black with yellow trim bits used to get 61 (optimistic speedo) out of that beast lol its the same now just move expensive

Thanks guys. Thing is im not very competant mechanicaly  nor do i have the space and time to give it a go
Theres a few bits i'd like to get done such as engine, exhaust, wheels, abit of bodywork etc.
Its never really been a hobby for me and i think the experts may see me coming  ive a few idea's how id like me car to look but to be honest i don't no where to start :embarassed: or where to take it.

What are you looking to do make it faster or look better ?
-
I don't think i can do much to make it any faster as its the 2.0 :lipsrsealed: but as far as looks its immaculatly bog standard in reflex silver.

sell it get yourself a turbo

Thanks. What do u think the chance's are trading it in againts a turbo or v5? i feel abit daft asking.
Don't think garages would go for swapping a 2.0 for a 1.8. Looks like im stuck with it as im not that confident it will sell.
All advice is much appriciated

could always put a for sale ad up if it sells buy a turbo as they are cheap enough now

In terms of financial recoup, no, they're not worth it.
Spending on service and maintenance, yes, but spend on it like a 17 year old does on his first car with bolt on tack, then you won't see that money again.

120k 12 years old.
aslong as its looked after should be fine for many more miles
as for you not being very mechanicle minded, nows the perfect time to start, if you get stuck on anything post up on here and im sure people will be happy to help.
-
The only good thing is it has full service history  i am fairly mechanicly minded just not competant at doing the work myself and never no best places to get work done.

id say yes.... but ur never get ur money back!
mine owes me over 7k, id be lucky to see 5k back i recon, unless i break it, but its to nice to break :undecided:
