hi all. my 1999 golf 1.8 turbo can be a bit hesitant when cold. sometimes i have to put my foot down and it wont go anywhere fast. it never seems to do it when warm.
sometimes when i kick down it feels faster some days then others
im going to give it a service over the weekend, just wondered if this is a common problem, i dont seem to have any air leaks i can see or hear
-
Any fault codes?
-
nope nothing. im hoping some new plugs will sort it. shall i grease the connectors on the coil packs?

Does the temp gauge sit at 90 once it has warmed up? No need for grease? :undecided:

let it warm up before putting your foot down. Look after it / give it a good service.

Try cleaning your throttle body. It's practically free, easy to do, and it solved my hesitation problems.

sometimes i need to get moving and it just jerks. its weird as sometimes it does it more then others
