Lowered my mk4 gti 1.8t on eibachs sportline springs. 50 front, 35 rear. this didn't drop rear much so got fk 60mm springs for the back. it's lowered OSR a bit more but the NSR is still really high and hasn't lowered at all.
I have checked and taken the damper out and it is not seized and in full working order.
The coil spring is located correctly in the top rubber mount and there is no debris in the bottom of the lower arm cup where it locates.
The coil spring is the right way up.
I have swopped coil spring and damper from side to the other and fault is still present.
I loosened the rear beam bush bolts on either side and pulled the car up and down to see whether when the bushes were done this affected it by doing 1 side at a time so it is all leveled out.
Anyone got an idea?
the master tech at work is stumped.
fellow golf lovers, anyone had any issues with one side not lowering?

Not a chance you have the old top mount stuck in the top housing.
-
it came off with the old spring. put it onto the new spring, fed it up in

pics?

Not the way the car's parked or anything is it?
-

axle twisted ? or had rear damage ?

it's had slight damage at the front, had a cat d, previous owner. but panels match up at front good enough when played around. no accident at the back to my knowledge.
