Title: Respray
Post by: GolfDan on 07 June 2005, 11:06
Hi

Does anybody know what is a reasonable price to pay for a full respray? I have some spots of rust and wondered if it would be best to have them touched in or to go for the whole shebang?

Thanks in advance

I've always thought around £1000 was reasonable depending on what you wanted done. Remember you can save a few quid by prepping some of the car first (like removing trim etc, cuts down labour costs)

Not cheap! Prices vary allot from one place to another. Id say from 1k to 2k depending on the work being done.

I've been quoted £450 for both sides done.

Bonnet and roof are pretty good - is it worth doing??
What is the likely value increase going to be?

Hard to say really. Its a bit like how longs a piece of string. Personally i would do it just to make my car look nice not for resale value.

my local resprayer did a car for me. 400 notes for both sides. done the sides as the new paint would of looked odd. Was a pukka job for the price so 4-nifty aint bad

your looking at about 1k for a full job.
