lowwerd my car a few weeks ago droped it 40mm put new struts on the front but now the back is lower than the front what can i do to sort this??

thort of that but 60mm drop on the front would look mint but iv got killer speed bumps by me and i have to go super slow with a 40mm drop
was thinking spring spacers/ bumpstops what you lot think??
um less any one has a set of front springs with a 60mm drop that thay want to give me :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Sounds like you have the wrong front springs fitted.

the car shuld be lowerd 40mm all round i got new front struts for a deasle mk3 that makes the handeling amszing never had anything respond so well :laugh: but the back are used of a git still still but used can i put the standerd springs back on the back??
or will it handle loke sh!t??

What engine is you car, if it is a GTI then diesel springs will be no good due to engine weight.

Well there's your problem, wrong spring rate. Diesel engines are quite a bit heavier than 1.6 petrol ones.

Either source the correct springs or at least stick some lowering spring caps on the front. If you're lucky you might get another 10mm drop. I wouldn't put the standard rear springs back on though as it'll look like a hot rod and handle sh!t.

Will thay get softer over time just only cost me £10.50 for bilstine ftruts and the handling as good

Not enough to noticeably see a comparable height drop I wouldn't have thought. The struts aren't the issue anyway, just the front springs.

do you have the adjustable plates on the rear? usually it can be lifted or lowerd using a circlip and moving the plate.

I do not know getting tracking done tomorrow so will have a look when she is in ramps where would I find it as I do not remember seeing anything like that

The circlip will be on the shock itself.. sitting in a groove.

Did not see any clip on strut when I took it apart to fit the lowering spring

No, adjustable spring plates slid up or down the outer strut casing and are held in situ with large circlip. My rear weitec shortened struts have these for fine tuning the ride height to match the fronts.

The large cup that the base of the spring sits in will be adjustable on struts that have this feature, you move the base up and down and it is locked in place by a circlip that fits in the body of the shocker.

no got nothing like that :cry: thimk i will have to keep her as she is it took me a week to figer out what was wrong when i looked at her :laugh: bunt bother me much as long as she is running well and handles like a go cart im not that fussed :laugh:
