GTR. R33. Thought I was going to die.
over 600hp and 500lbft torque.
What a machine, thing accelerates likes nothing I'v been in before. 4 wheel drive is just awesome...I'm not considering converting my diesel :smug:
Anyone else own a machine of magnitude?
-
Really want to go in one of these
-
I want
-
2.8L twin turbo ...You could just about see the turbos, they are massiffff! I'll take a pic of the engine bay next time, but it is all polish and very well maintained!
But c'mon guys...help me out with the AWD Derv
-
Get a 4Motion shell and stick your engine in that
Equally I'm not sure if there was a MK4 version sold in europe :undecided: They did a 4Mo diesel in the MK5 for 12-18 months when it was first launched
-
Lots of TDI 4motion variants in Europe, in 4,5 and 6.
Fair number of Golf5s about in 140bhp trim in the UK.
What are the Polish doing in your mate's engine bay?
Skylines - designed to do the driving for the guy in the driver's seat.

Get this guy a medal  Opppsss.
You say they do all the driving because of the 4WD right? It was just ridiculous, foot planted while going round a bend. Car felt solid...But sitting on 10" wide rubber all round helps I guess!

could have a 1000000bhp we all still have go the same speed.

This is a very strong word, we all have a choice to speed, we just have to suffer the consequence if caught, I was racing a mk3 16v a couple of weeks ago in my bmw, he was doing 110/120 65 ish and I was doing 130 70 ish and my mate came by me at 170 75 ish, also there is no law on how quickly you can get to the speed limit so more power means quicker acceleration and more fun on a track.

130MPH out of a 1.6 3 series?

It's not a 1.6, it's a 1.9, but I had a rover 416 which did 120 before I ran out of road and had to brake, a 1.0 Daewoo matiz will do 105.

Mates TT - RS, thats got around 600ponnies, its at the garage getting an internal race kit rated for 900bhp and happily hold 8.5k rpm, once its rebuilt he is planning on 750bhp, so we will see how that turns out
-
One of my friends in laws has just picked up one of the new Mclarens to go with the Lambo spider and Ferrari.
My mate got a go in the Lambo and raved about it for weeks, he is working on a go in the Mclaren
in the flesh these cars are awesome

RB26DETT is my dream engine alongside the 2JZ-GTE, and mounted alongside each of their cars it's just unstoppable. My dream is either a Skyline or a Supra.
-
rb26dett is way old, tis all about the rb30, its the motor of choice for the power hungry be it track or drag use, afail RK tuning and Gtart both use this engine in their demo cars both producing 1300+hp
-
meh, same engine in an R32 skyline with just RWD is where it's at

Booooooo RB30 are from old skylines. The RB26DETT converted to single turbo is just a massive massive rocket. They're capable of any power imaginable if the funds are big enough. Plenty of 1000+hp daily's being driven.
-
the RB26dett usally better the rb30 motors, there are RB30 based engines that are epic but they need a lot of work to allow them to pull the revs needed for the mega power. much cheeper to get the power from an RB26DETT block is much better so it can spin faster with lots less work
a hot rb26dett in a bmw e46 is absolutly epic
