Title: 17in wheels and suspension fitting to a VR6

planning to fit a set of 17's i have but also planning to lower the car a bit probably 40mm. wondering what offset i need to stop scrubbing??

or any other mods i would need to do??

 i think you may need to trim/roll the rear arches due to the VR6 being lower than a gti anyway as 17's are gonna be at least 7" wide. I also think you'll have to stick with a near standard offset. I'm sure someone will deny or confirm this soon. :wink:

Tyres you will need for a 17" wheel are 225/45/17 Tyres or 205 , 215 width but the 45 is the important bit to keep the same rolling radius and speedo in check :)

205/40/17 unless VR6's don't use 205/50/15's as standard

sound well not to bothered can live with the speedo being out as long as i know how much by.

realy need a deffinant answer about the offset though as i would rather buy the correct spacers and wheel nuts first time.

on 205 width tyres i think its ET38

Just go into a place where they sell wheels and they will tell you for defo :)
