Hey all,
The dub's playing up and pissing me off again  The problem is the oil light and buzzer keep comming on, now I know this is a common fault, But here's the background of the problem:
It started about 5 months ago, it would come on intermitently at about 5k revs, and when you dropped below about 2000 revs it would turn off again, this then stopped for about a month, then I fitted GTI clocks and no buzzer for about 3 months... untill today  I thought the fault was with the old clocks, but I must have been wrong
Now it comes on when I go about 2000 revs, and unlike before it will not go off without turning ignition off and back on..
Any ideas as to what this might be? am I advised to replace the sensors or check them first some how? it's a 1.3 BTW, any help appreciated! thanks peeps.

I had much the same problem, after replacing both oil pressue switches it was still the same, turned out the clocks were at fault so I replaced the clocks and it's been OK since
It's amazing how annoying that buzzer can be
hope this is of some help

Always a good idea to get the oil pressure checked to make sure it is just an electrical fault as the strainer on the pickup pipe sometimes get clogged up

Yep the buzer is bloody annoying hehe!
I will crack the sump of the fooker later this week and clean out the pickup pipe, And then I have found a new sensor on one of my spare engines so Im gonna try that also, But is there any way to test the sensors? I doubt there is really as that would be to easy!
Cheers guys anyway

BTW if you're really sure the oil pressure is fine, remove the buzzer circuit completely. Its the 'L' shaped circuit board clipped to the speedo :)
If I were you I'd get an oil pressure VDO gauge fitted somewhereso you can keep an eye on the pressure of your mighty 1.3
