They have gone yellow on the outside. It rubs off but what caused it and the rubbber underneath does not look the best..
All other rubbers hatch seal, door seals and front door wire rubbers look normal.

Is the hatch strut leaking fluid?

I'll check but both sides are the same.
I wonder if when it was in for service if they put something on them that's reacted. As they have greased the door hinges, latches.

I'm already worried about taking mine in for it's first service and with all your horror stories you've got me terrified!

Use pulman Durham or benfield silverlink (used silverlink for the ibiza wheel barring and void bushes with good results just DON'T let them wash it there)
Could not stand it been yellow so cleaned them with a toothbrush and water/washing up liquid mix.
Let's see if it comes back.

My guess is mould release agent or an oxidation on the rubber surface
