Title: New member with Mk4 1.8T

Just thought I'd say hello.

Currently got a Mk4 1.8T which I bought around 10 months ago. I was going to buy a Focus as I needed a sensible car, but driving home one day saw a For Sale sign in the back of a Mk4 GTI. Bought it for the same money the Focus would have depreciated in 18 months!

Previously had a Mk2 Golf Driver, Mk3 Golf Driver, Mk3 Golf VR6.

I've got the same on mine and think they are probably the best (I'm also a fan of the 'fan blade' alloys that can be seen on Aston Martin's, Alfa Giulietta's, Sciroccos etc but unsure whether they'd suit a Mk4 Golf).

If I was you I'd get the rear side windows and window tinted... kinda a 'family saloon' optional these days and makes a MK4 Golf look some much nicer :-)

I like the wheels too - came with the car, not had 18's before.

Never thought about tints - not sure how much they would cost though. May have a look on google for silver Mk4's with rear tints.

My last Mk3 was silver too - I don't even like silver cars too much :smiley:, but bought that one and this one as they were both in good condition etc...

I like the alloys too - but 3 of them are slightly 'not round' which makes balancing them a bit difficult. Rears took 40mins to balance.
