Hope you get it sorted.

Did you get the woman's reg? If you did report her for dangerous driving, too many idiots out there, unlucky you were in the middle of two of them.

I think everyone should buy a dash cam (I have one that cost me under £20 with decent quality). It can save lots of hassle and is accepted by "several" major insurers (like who I work for).....

These sort of peeps that don't pay proper attention on the road shud be made to take a enhanced driving course that shud come out of there own pockets, after all it's there own incompetence that coursed it in the first place..
Hope everything gets sorted quick!

Sorry to hear, I f#cking hate it when you've got an arse that's following too close.
Just think if you were back in SA your car would have been on a tow hitch of a Ford Bantam even for that minor damage

The MG6 can be seen in the BTCC and is doing pretty well, although reviews have not been favourable for the road going version.

Lucky you!
This is how my car looks now.
Some old cow tried to overtake me on my right when I was turning right, I indicated well before the turning, stopped because of oncoming traffic, waited until it was clear, checked my mirror and started to pull away, the woman in the panda must not have been paying attention as instead of slowing down she tried to go round me, hit my door and wing and pushed me past the turning.
Her and some gobby thingy in the car behind her started shouting at me and calling me an idiot, trying to blame me, (I have 3 witnesses that say it was her fault) and telling me not to go anywhere when I moved my car, just kept screaming "Don't you go anywhere, you stay right there" to which I said no, I can't get out with you touching my door and we're blocking the road so I'm parking on the side out the way, the gobby thingy wouldn't let me near the woman that hit me and the paramedics and police were there in about 2 minutes.
While the police were asking me what happened and breathalyzing me she got carted off to hospital before I could get any details from her and someone drove her car off so I didn't have the reg number of her car either, then the police officer that had spoke to her drove off while I was still talking to the police officer that was taking my statement and checking my brake lights and indicators were working (the police say she hasn't got a leg to stand on, that she was clearly at fault not me) so I couldn't even ask the officer for her details.
I was given a producer, so I went to the station an hour later with all my paperwork and asked then for her details, I was told the officer who knew her details would be back in 15 minutes, so I went back to the police station, turns out that they never took any details from her, just her reg number, didn't check to see if she had a licence, insurance, if her car was mot'd or taxed or anything, I also found out that she is rather amazinly injured  :undecided: she hit her passengers side and my drivers side, but the paramedics didn't even ask me if I was ok and carted her off to hospital, how's that work?? if I'm ok and she hit my drivers door she can't possibly be injured, her airbags didn't even go off!
This is her car and the woman standing by the door is the aforementioned thingy, she is making the woman sit back in the car and telling her she needs an ambulance, the woman in the car said she was fine and didn't want one but the thingy convinced her to get checked out, (whiplash claim here we come) I just hope that the insurance company actually do their job and not just say "oh a 24 year old in a bwm, of course it's his fault"

pictures, pictures and more pictures. always take pictures. also ask them to explain what happened and record them as they speak. You will be surprised how many times people change their tune after speaking to someone else.
I had and incident where I approached a long que of traffic. The gent in front of me quickly whipped his car around to go back. I was driving at no more than 5 mph.
As he has spun it around on a pretty wide road, he has realised he wouldnt make it without hitting the kerb. So slammed it into reverse and reversed into the side of my car.
Although I would have been happy to wait for him (not like I could go anywhere) he insisted it was my fault. It was only when I asked him what happened he clearly told me "I put it straight into reverse". When I asked him if he looked over his shoulder and checked his mirrors? he responded with "No. I didnt think anyone was behind me as I left that spot, so put it straight into reverse quickly".
Even though he argued it was my fault, he soon changed his tune when I played him the recording a few weeks later
-
bob23,damn dude,so many muppets on the roads these days its not funny, they should be all shot on site.
-
And who is this thingy? was she just some gobby cow who was walking past at the time?
f**king hate thingys like her.
-
R32UK. I only took a couple of pictures, there was no point in taking loads as I had moved my car to get out, found it hard to open my door with a panda parked in it. Just made sure that I got a good picture of where her car was so she can't try to say I had pulled away from the curb.
vdubman. Haven't got to shoot them, just keep them off the roads.
jimbooboo. The thingy was driving the car behind the panda that hit me, she was following the panda too close and nearly went into the back of it, she tried to say I never checked my mirror but how can she see from 2 cars back through the panda if I did or not? She is just a busy body, I hope someone crashes into her tries to blame her.
Had the repair company out today, they said it's a write off, my insurance are happy that it was her fault, so now just got to wait to see what her insurance company say then argue with them about the value of my car and say that I want to buy it back, I can get a silver door and wing for £60 and get the sill sorted for £40, so will be worth it.
-
Been offered £1132 for my car with a salvage value to buy it back for £79, so that's what I'll do, her and my insurance company accepted it was here fault, which I thought meant it would all be over soon, until I got a letter today from her solicitors saying she is claiming soft tissue damage and whiplash and for her car from my insurance, so now they have got to do an investigation, she stated to the solicitors that she was driving down the road correctly when I pulled away from a parked position on her left and hit her wing.
Because I always park on solid white lines across someone's drop kerb, then pull away without looking and cross the centre line.
Turns out the thingy that was behind the panda that was also having a go at me is the woman's daughter, so that explains a lot.
Also the woman that hit me told the solicitors that she didn't know if her car was a write off and that she didn't get and hasn't got a courtesy car, but even I know her car is being repaired and who is doing it and I also know she was given a courtesy car the next morning and still has it, so don't know why she said she didn't get one, my car was supposed to be off the road 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my one, I won't get a cheque for at least another 4 weeks, haven't got a courtesy car or money to buy a car and things have gone tits up on the golf so don't need this to be dragging out like this.
And to make matters harder for me the police won't give me or my insurance company the witness details while they are still investigating, even though the police sent them away after I told them I needed to get their details, f**king wayne kerrs! luckily 1 is a shop owner next to where it happened and another is a friend of a friend of a friend so I managed to get hers in the end, but I haven't got a clue how to find the third witness.
-
try not to worry about it too much. I have a case on going from September
you pay your premium for a reason.. you just have to make sure you stay on top of your insurance company. They will do all the work for you. Try to make sure all contact with them is through email, so you have a full log if they are not doing their job properly. This is very important, especially if they are dragging their feet. This got me a cheque for £400
-
damn dude, sorry to hear its dragging on for so long now.hope all gets sorted for you

I also have a case ongoing from last August
Car towing home made trailer on the motorway, trailer lid not secured correctly and flies off (6x4 sheet of 4mm steel). The steel severed the brake lines of a lorry causing it to lock up and slide across from the middle lane to the hard shoulder, went under a van in front of me, hit the front of my car and went underneath it, flew up behind my car and hit the car behind on the n/s corner of the car.
Not a huge amount of damage to any car but mine was off the road for a month and I was given a courtesy car. The cost of the courtesy car came to around £2k, and this is in dispute as the insurers of the other party are claiming that the car was unnecessary!!
The day of the accident I was moving out of my parents house to live by myself 150 miles away ready to start a new job 3 days after, I was completely broke after paying to furnish a 3 bed flat, deposit, months rent up front etc. Yet this is still ongoing, despite me already providing evidence to support all of this (bank/credit card statements, rental agreement etc.)
Looks like it's going to court later in the year
-
Its hard to get everything in order, especially when you've had a big accident. You don't remember every detail until later, and forget things you'd do if not in that situation. I got everybodys details on my accident, except the person right at the front who went off before I had chance. The bloke who caused it left pretty sharpish too, before the police arrived. I'd have insisted he hung around if I was thinking clearly. I should also have asked him directly to admit he was at fault in front of wintnesses. Hopefully they resolve it sharpish for you mate, I'd be pretty pissed off if mine dragged on for too long.

Well you needed a car and insurance is there for a reason, so if they didn't want to pay they should have got yours fixed sooner, after all, I'm sure you'd rather have been driving your own car, rather than some rental piece of sh!te.
Even though when I phoned my insurance company Thursday I was told it would be another 3/4 weeks before I got my cheque, it turned up yesterday  so I'm happy now, best bit is it is from her insurance company.
