Title: Need some help regarding spacers stance :)
Post by: vwkevgti on 03 May 2012, 21:08
The golf has been off the road all winter its had a good tidy up sold my r32 rep wheels and now I have some bbs ch reps that I'm going to be fitting 215/40/18 tyres too I want to space the wheels but don't want any rubbing issues  so was wondering what was the best combo my car is slammed on coillovers don't mind winding it up abit to accominadate the spacers I'll be using hub centric spacers was thinking 20mm on the rear and 10mm on the front

I've got 215/40/18 tyres
Bbs ch reps et35

Lowerd on coilovers with ajustable drop links

The rear perches for coilovers are still fitted

I've looked in to this just wanted some advice if the above will fit

Thanks kev

They will fit fine and those spacers should also be ok.

Oh right if you measure the wheel on a flat surface there 9" wide

Measure the entire width of the wheel. If it's an 8j wheel, it'll measure 9" across from outside of the bead to outside of the bead

it will be a 8j wheel then

if they ar ch reps im assuming the will be 8" all round unless they are the staggered ones which will be 8"front and 9"rears

i had 8j wheels on rear before with 20mm spacers lowered with rear adjuster removed, caused scrubbing and paint chip on the arches
