Title: warning triangle
Post by: devilscaff on 03 May 2012, 18:27
Did the mk2 come with a warning triangle triangle?

Yes and no! In certain countries it was a legal requirement, but not in this country back in the Mk2 days, so was most likely to be a dealer option, as the First Aid kit would also be an option in this country...

Ken

How long ago did you pay £15 for one?

What's a realistic price now for any mk2 part now? My view is as much as someone will pay?????

Less bits about so either pay up or you don't get what you want, but where do u draw the line on being robbed

I'm digging deep for a first aid box :smug:

According to my Build Thread Aug '10.

I agree some prices are mental that people are bidding up to...

Votex Window switch panel £167.00 a few weeks back...

I have to say that I personally wait and watch - as you can still pick up the odd bargains at time... But this is getting harder & harder...

As for being "Robbed"... It's your choice to bid or buy or not - so to blame the seller is unfair...

(No Ones Holding A Gun To Your Head & Saying You Must Buy or Bid On It!!).

No ken I fully agree with you, I have no problem paying up, as I said above, it is becoming pay up or you don't get, I like to pay up to get what I want, I will only sit annoyed at myself for not buying Or bidding on something anyway

The world is insane.  Looking at the bid history for the first aid kit it looks like three boys had the hots for it.

I can't answer why they wanted it so badly but looking at the bid history on ebay for the first aid box it looks like there were two guys who wanted it and made some crazy bids. The guy who got it moved the bidding from £53 to £90 in one bid just before the close. The other bidder moved that to £100 and it finall went for £102. Thats crazy but good for the seller.

The bidding mist covered their eyes.... and they lost any common sense they might have had!

They had no sense in the first place, they should have gone to a scrappie and robbed one from something newer, or got a full kit from lidl for 2 quid odd. What a plaster in your boot is going to do anyway, I don't know, better off fitting a decent engine and steaming it to hospital imo

Yep, had this one in one of the MK2s I had, though the part no on yours is a Corrado part no (535xxxxxx). Not sure if there's any difference, or if the MK2 just used the Corrado part.

Had a white one with red writing in a later one, which was made by HEPP but also had a VW part number on it.

If you want to actually use it for first aid then you can get new ones from the dealers for about £20, or off eBay (new gen VW) for about half that. New ones are black with white writing (and aren't out of date...).
