Title: Back in the VAG family - edition 35 content
Post by: mjp on 03 May 2012, 04:03
Been a long time since I posted here. Had a MKV GTi, 2.0 GT Roc, N55 135 and just got an edition 35. Simply love the edition 35. Will post some pics later today.

Anyway took the 35 to the track on the weekend and it ran a 12.6 1/4 mile. Mods are intake, exhaust, hpfp, wmi and APR software. Has anyone here taken their ed35 to the track as yet?

That's a pretty quick time. Quickest I've had is a 13.6 with a standard GTI and a remap. Looking forward to some pics

As far as I'm aware Revo don't do air intakes? They probably sell another manufacturer's intake via their website (for example APR advertised the "APR intake system" which was actually the Carbonio system with an APR sticker on it.

APR now has rights for ITG which is part of VW Racing and can only be bought through them.

In keeping with VW tradition I decided to go for a set of 19inch BBS wheels. BBS+VW=WIN

Very nice, one of my fav colours for the mk6.
Did not realise until today that the ed35 got 90% rear tints compared to the GTI only 65%

Looks brilliant. Definitely my favourite colour

Also really like the proportion of the exhaust tailpipes. Personally I think the standard tailpipes are a bit on the small side. Yours look purposeful but not too big - spot on I reckon!

Nice, but imo I prefer the leather...

Leather on the 35 is the same as a stock G6 GTi, no red stitching or 35 logos

Love the interior, wish VW UK had this as STD. Leather is not a problem for me but would have preferred the ED35 special, in line with the ED30 which I loved.

I have to say, I do prefer the tartan seats to the Edition 35 (leather or not) options. But other than that the car looks absolutely brilliant.

I like the fact that they have the 35 logo but don't like the seats, personally i wud prefer the std leather with 35 logo on them, this is only my opinion of course and it isn't in no way a dig...if you get what i mean LOL

That's one nice car! I'm not a fan of full leather seats but really like those 1/2 leather seats. Love the wheels too!

Thanks guys, got a few more mods planned for the car. I have changed the under drive pulley as well which made the car rev up much quicker and feels effortless when revving up.
