Hello!
My boot lip has gotten rusty (previous owner didnt notice the water coming out of the back washer!) and its not going to be as simple as sand off, prime and paint - its kinda gone crusty??
Anyway, I was wondering if there is such a thing as paste you can fill it with which will kill the rust, fill the hole and provide a better base to paint on?
thanks you!

Should move this to the mk3 section as they got lots of experience with rust.... :lipsrsealed:

hehe - shame my mk4 is so bad. Took it to be inspected under warranty and they took one look and said "This should have been done earlier!"
BAH
I'll pop into my local motor parts store and see what they recommend - it needs to be more than rust killer to fill the gap where it seems to have expanded or whatever. Unless I rust kill then fill with some kind of resin
