Title: Security

Hi

Anybody know of a good way of securing my Golf mk2? Concerned that the locks may not be much use against thieves!

Keep it in a locked garage under a cover, blocked in by another car with the drive gates locked and never take it out. That's what I do anyway.

Disk lock,  them criminals don't like um. Failing that the advice above would work just as well

Toad ai606 is about as good as you can get. If someone wants to break in, they can smash glass, so locks are fine. The alarm will alert you to any form of entry. The immobilised fuel pump and starter will stop anyone hotwiring it in a hurry. You can add a tilt sensor to the toad to alert of any car movement. Leave nothing on display, prevention is better than cure. If someone really wants to nick it, they will, via tow truck, hiab, etc.. I also have a hidden fuel pump switch fitted before the toad was installed, but its still there incase a half clever thief has time to figure out the wiring!
