Title: How to change a gator on a mk4

As the title says really I need ti change the gator but can't get the gear knob off and don't want to brake anything

Firstly you take the leather gaitor off the bracket at the bottom, it will have a elastic bottom so just pulls off with a little force, next you will pull the gaitor up so it's inside out which will reveal a silver or gold ring clip, this can be cut off or just bent out of shape to release hear knob the slide up gaitor. YouTube has vids so you know what your looking for
