Post by: ozzie_bizzles on 01 May 2012, 15:37
Hi all I'm Ozzie from the midlands, just joined the gti forum as I returned back
To being a veedub fan from back in the days. Although I'm still a member as sxoc
Fancied a change... Had enough of rebuilding engines and turbos lol.

See how it goes from here...

Yep... Had my fun in the 200sx. But at the same time it was blood, sweat and tears... And especially after 5 engines, 2 gearboxes and three clutches...

It's been emotional after owning it for 7 years... But had to get rid.  Shakoo.. if you are reading this you know exactly what I am talking about.

Now I am going to back to what I had long missed out a decade ago. A car that can take a bend at 90mph, a car that can mail a Scooby Wrx in third gear... And not to mention loosing the boys in the blues on the roundabouts.

The golf mk2 16v.

Not exactly super quick on the straights, but changes directions like a rat when slammed nicely.

No more blown turbo's, no more bottom ends frying, no more piston shooting out the blocks, more clutches going, no more gearboxes blowing, no more propshafts snapping...  the lists goes on and one and im pretty much sure you exactly know where im comming from johnnybravo..

Then again this sunday just gone I was with my mate sharky (fellow member on this forum) at the tracks and was absolutely taken away by a mitsubishi lancer evo 7 running close to 700 bhp.. tt kinda of brings the craving back to either get another sx or an skyline gtr.. but using the head this time.. nahh.. cant keep geting into debt  lol..

The attention drew straight away as we seen a vw golf mk2 gti turned up with a VR6.  Boy was that car loud..!! when it shot past.
