Title: problem- Bit smoky, missfiring- Valve stem oil seals???
Post by: lancashiregolf on 06 June 2005, 11:04
I have a problem with My Mk2 golf gti 8v. The other day i noticed it was smoking a bit too much from the exhaust and that a little bit of oil started dripping from above the oil sump. I was told it probably is the valve stem oil seal but then yesterday it started missfiring a bit. Is it still the same problem and how hard will it be to fix???

Any help, tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Brad

I had some smoke from mine a while back and it was the breather pipe dumping oil into the airbox getting sucked through burnt then kicked out the exhaust probably easiest first check! 100 posts here we come!
