Title: fair price
Post by: boxerboy on 30 April 2012, 15:02
Hi there, I am going to look at a mk4 1.8t 150bhp 3 door  golf tomorow its a 2000 on a w reg with 70,000 miles on the clock, it has almost a full year mot and around 4mth taxand service history. Its due its timing belt and has a bad dent on the wing and a bad scratch on the bonnet, I was wondering what a fair price would be to pay thanks

Like said no more that 1500 as there is loads about just now. I timing belt change is going to cost 300 you if your taking it to a garage and getting the new wing and bonnet sprayed would probably be another 400 so you really need to take these into account. When did it have is last timing belt done?
