Title: Black Rear VW Badge
Post by: Johnhol on 29 April 2012, 22:09
Has anyone found a place that sells these? Looked everywhere and not found one to replace the 3D badge on the boot handle.

Thinking about Plastidipping the badge as looks quite good.

Still looking, though priced about @17 a can so not cheap......it's either that or I spray paint the thing.

I'd go for plasti-dipping over straight spraying. Granted the rear isn't really going to get stone chips (unless you reverse everywhere at speed ) but to get lasting effects with straight paint you'd need to sand it down which pretty much leaves the whole mod irreversible. At least with plasti-dipping if you don't like it you can peel it right off.

That is a fair point.....plastidip it is. Though found they do a gloss overlay paint as well.....very tempted
