Title: Newbie with GTI.
Post by: Raffe on 29 April 2012, 17:07
Hi guys,

New to the forum having just picked up our GTi as pics;

'10 Candy White GTi with 18" Monza's, Vienna heated leather, parking sensors front & rear and mdi connection.

Had a rcd510 fitted by dealer for £100 which I thought was pretty reasonable and got to keep the original unit, no working Bluetooth mind which I understand needs more bits and coding, any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Will of course be getting a Revo, Milltek and CAI  of some description along with some H&R/Eibach springs but I need the dust to settle a touch as my wife had only had her Fiesta zetec S 3 months and wasnt expecting me to trade it in :grin:

Loving it so far, just need some better weather to enjoy it......

Thanks guys for welcome and comments :smiley:

Leon is my work derv, just coming up a year old and 25k miles, been great to date although I did prefer my Golf GT Sport 170 had previously.

The GTD was my preferred choice but the waiting list was just a joke last year, 7 months compared to 9 weeks for the Leon and a £5k saving.

That said Golf really is a much nicer car though now I can compare side by side, very pleased :cool:

Welcome and yes great car. I had CW GTI before my ED35 and loved it, after 2.5 years of ownership, probably the best all round car I have had to date.

Wife's car only does about 6k per year so no need for 2 diesels, plus I need to feed the petrol head in me  :evil:

Bought a new camera yesterday, nothing flash just better than what we had and something which is basically point and shoot as I am certainly no David Bailey with no desire to be one!

Anyhows  some pics...
