I'm losing coolent in my car and last week my heater shorted out on one of the wires could it be leaking and the short out was Jew to water on connecter???
I'm only losing about 1 leather of water every to weeks
What you all think any help would be good

Generally the heater shorts out because water is dripping from above, it comes from the pollen filter area, the heater matrix is lower down, so doesn't usually cause any electrical problems when its dripping, except for giving you a wet foot (or a burnt foot if it decides to burst during an epic head gasket failure as i found out) :grin: It doesn't mean its not leaking, but i wouldn't link the two, if its loosing water, checked the bottom right corner of the radiator, then the two Bakelite type flanges on the cylinder head, and make sure the coolant bottle cap allowing pressure to escape, then try to get your hands up under the dash and have a poke about for any wetness from the bottom of the blower housing.

Had a look at the rad last week and the bottom was wet and looks rusty on both bottom corners but it was raining and dident know of it was of the road or not
Need to check agane on a dry day if we eve get get one lol

hi mate,is your front window going all foggy on the inside?whether you got heating on or not?

had 5 min this after noon sh had a look at heater and i found the RESISTOR looks water damaged and had burnt out so had a look at the pollen filter and it was coverd in leaves.
so i think what has happend is the leaves got wet iv turned the blowers on dragging cold air threw wet leaves so water has got in the heater leading to the resistor being burnt out

if any one has a heater resistor nocking a bout going cheap let me no thanks
