Title: boost gauge and ......
Post by: colz1234 on 29 April 2012, 10:06
am thinking about buying a double steering wheel pod to hold a boost gauge but cant decide what gauge to get for the spare pod.

what would be the best gauge to use? something like oil temp?

i like the positioning of the double pod better then the single pod which is why id rather go with that one, but need something "useful" to fill the extra pod

will most probably be going with newsouth gauges as they match the OEM look of the interior lights

thanks

I would go for a oil temp gauge mate, there very handy. I had one standard on my old ibiza gti and I really miss having it now I've got the golf so I'm def going to get one.

When my coolant is at 90deg the oil temp has only just started to rise above 60deg so don't go by that

it does go above 60, but not until after the water is at running temp. I'm just saying don't look at your water temp gauge and think the oil must be up to temp as well because it won't be
