Thanks to another forum member i acquired some used spax shocks and springs, now the front ones came with lowered springs (-40mm) and the rears with standard springs, i've fitted the fronts which give a nice drop but owing to the weather and a hundred other reasons i haven't got round to lowering the back ones and i'm beginning to really like the look of it with its nose on the floor and its not like the back is a danger to low flying aircraft or anything, it's got quite an aggressive look to it.
Is this ok or am i just being a lazy tw*t?.

To me that would look really silly.
Like a saxo or 106 that some chavy bam has tried to to lower by buying a lowering kit and realising the kits only got front springs and that theres a lowering torsion bar at the rear, finds thats seized so leaves it looking like a wedge of chease. :cool:

well looks better than my cl bought set of used shocks with suspension still on them for winter (gets lumpy and very diffucult in farm county) and iv ended up with a 20mm drop on rear and 10mm rise on fronts looks like its ment to sit on drag tyres :D roll on getting coilies

Hahahaha .... No dude you can't leave it like that it looks awfull, I have a nose down stance but my fronts are tucked an my rear has tyre level with arch, that arch gap on the back looks wrong. !!!

Only trouble is Mate the rear shockers have standard springs on so will sit the same height when changed. You will need lowering springs Bud

I'm a big fan of the 'rake' look but with those wheels the rear needs to sit more or less level with the front to make it look good. Some wider wheels and some coilovers will make this car.

I'd like to keep the standard wheels as i like the way they look but i am going to get the back lowered (springs ordered) , only issue i have is that i've got a scorpion backbox on it and the clamps are right above the rear beam which means it does knock if i've got people in the back seat although its fine without, could i use a different type of clamp that would be more flush than the usual u-clamps?

I have tried that but they still knock a little when the back is loaded up, i think i'm just going to have to get the ride height down then have a look at the exhaust and see what gives.

I'm going to get the exhaust right and just enjoy it for the summer then maybe try some coilovers.

Hydraulic hose clamps. They come in a wide range of sizes, are rust resistant, low profile and cheap. Works a treat on my XT600.

Did up tight enough to close a fairly big gap between the downpipes and silencer on my XT600. I changed the link in my previous post for a better site and that says the bolt is high tensile zinc plated.
