Title: Suspension ~ Struts/insetrs, someone please explain
Post by: Chris_D on 05 June 2005, 13:40
My mk2 has just been taken away to have the suspension done, bilstein shocks and lowered springs, he's just told me it may take a little longer cause of the type of shocks they are, can someone please expain the differences and why one would take longer than the other.

Cheers
Chris

Struts are the complete suspension leg, the inserts the shock cartridges that go in the strut housing.
Later models are available in complete struts only.
See my website, look on the how to guides, that will give you a good idea what i'm on about

at last its been done! and he only wanted £60 in the end, pics to come, looks a lot better! I've heard it takes a while for the spings to settle and then it'll be a little lower, how long does this normally take?
