Cliffard?
Well, I had a Clifford once. Had to get it adjusted as it was always going off, never had another one since.

Probably to turn the flashing red light off.

It's more likely the switch that you press at intervals to enter a code in. My MK2 had one with to buttons on it.

An alarm is only as good as the person who fits it
Cliffords are the best, proximity sensor can but adjusted by the user quite easily.
which clifford is it, ? CONCEPT ??? guessing its a G4

Hi
I had a Clifford in my previous car...
1st The proximity sensor - this keeps going off because the person(s) who fitted have set the sensor to very sensitive....when you bought your alarm you shud have also been given a certificate and a owners manual which shud explain how to correct the sensitivatey...if you cant correct it thro this for some reason go back to where you bought it from and ask them to sort it..
When I first had mine fitted it was very sensitive and the wind wud constantly set it off....I think there are 3 or 4 different settings for this...
2nd The red light - this is a anti theft thingy that shud help detour thiefs from attempting to steal your car, it shud only blink when car is stationary and keys are out of the ignition...if its still blinking when your on the move then there is something wrong and again you shud take this up with the fitter...
For the life of me I can't remember what the switch was for...I can't say I ever used either...
Read this it might be useful.....http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=946578

yes i have a certificate. says its a concept 50x
no instruction manual tho
yes if i leave the car for about 30 seconds the alarm comes on.
if i go near it it buzzes at me to warn me off.
the switch next to the light has normal switch function click right side and click left. but on the left side you can also hold it down and release type if that makes sence. have not held it down tho as i dont want to change anything.
the key fob has the one main big button then 3 small buttons underneath but i havent tried them yet

I have concept g4 and on mine If you press the lock/unlock button and the button diagonally opposite (on the 4 button fob) at the same time, the proximatey sensor is disabled (indicators should flash 4 times to tell you it's disabled). And it will be enabled next time you unlock/lock it.
Might be worth a try on yours.

What fob do you have mate? Mine has the main big round button top middle and 3 small round ones underneath.

Mine must be an older one, if you type Clifford concept g4 in google images my fobs the first picture. Though it's the lock/unlock button and the button with two stars on (**) at the same time.
Hope this helps
