Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what and where is the "grommet".

IIRC left hand side of the wing underneath the scuttle panel which needs lifting slightly to get access

It can do but you can always seal it with a little silicone that will stop any future problems.

I drilled a hole in the bulkhead for mine, then used a grommet and sealant as required.

I've just routed mine down the wing/door void and into the plastic grommet

passnger side under scuttle panel you will see where some wires cables go through a gromet into car you can feed through here tape your pipe to a piece of metal and feed it through and it comes out in passenger side you will have to pull carpet back slightly (not much) you then feed it behind dash etc upto where you want it to go heres some pics of how i did mine

thats the lazy way, so naturally its my preferred method  plus you dont have any chance of water getting in where it shouldnt. also gives handy access if you're mounting it on the A post trim!
