as above, just want to know a little bit about them, i have a audi a3 quattro converted to a full s3 setup running around 310bhp and really miss my old mk2's just put an offer in to do a deal with a mk2 g60 with a stage 4 supercharger would there be much difference apart from the fact its not 4WD
-
why not just buy a mk2 an throw your audi stuff in it
-
there is that option but wen this mk2's been fully rebuilt internally and externally and has only cover 15k dunno if its worth it
-
buy a cheap 1 then covert it
-
ive only just done the conversion in the a3 dont wanna have to rip it all out again although id like to put in in a rallye but finding one of those cheap isnt going to happen

One requirement deep pockets
Just make sure you have a receipt for the charger overhall to give any G60 clean bill of health
-

Yeah it's a 20+ year old car V's a 5-10 year old car....
Proper G60 = LHD - So has it's major draw backs...
310BHP MK2 - Pointless....
Totally Pointless question IMO...
If you want a 310 BPH Mk2 go to ED38 and join the morons their...
You buy a MK2 to own a piece of automotive history not to chav it - IMO....

Do what you want to your own mk2. There's general trends to follow but everyone is different. I too love a powerful fast mk2, something that smashes modern sh!te everyday on the roads. I think 310 in a mk2 would be awesome, check big bazs awd s2 mk2. Now that is almost my dream mk2, albeit in a different colour.. Imo totally standard small bumper off-road-style-ride-height looks goofy and pony. Mines slammed on ronal ls's with g60 arches etc. Each to their own + all that. Some people think any more than a 10mm drop is a sin, I see it a must!!
-
i totally agree to the standard oem looking golf hence why i wanted in the first place knowledge about a g60 i dont like chavved up cars with lexus lights etc, a powerful mk2 would be nice but think anything over 300bhp and ud struggle to put the power down, ideally id love to buy a rallye but the chances of that are quite slim as theres hardly any about anymore
-
Rallye would struggle to hold on to its drive shaft @ 260 let alone 300 fella!
-
not on bout putting the s3 lump in a rallye, i just want a standard one lol ever since i had my first few mk2's all ive wanted is a rallye

I drive a G60 Jetta daily and with the few standard mods the engines are great, very torquey and surprises a lot of other road users. I've got mine on a taller ratio gearbox and get about 34mpg out of it, so all in all great to drive. Not gonna be as comfortable as an A3 of course, but if you've owned a mk2 before you know all that :)
