Hi all,
I have seen some engines on here polished to mirrors, I dont want to go for that look as mine is more for checking for leaks of oil etc, has anyone painted their engine? if so what with? I used to have mini's and they were always painted colours like red/yellow/blue/orange etc, I'm just after something that would show oil like silver
Is it advisable to do this on a golf bearing in mind it'll get hotter than a mini engine?
Cheers

get the cam cover and inlet fannymould powder coated much more durable than paint.

Yeah I have considered that, any other ideas?

Get the angle grinder and a smooth polishing pad, or wire brush to the inlet or rocker cover

thanks guys the colour i chose from a colour chart just random as i liked it, and turns out to be an old vw colour cliff green which suprised me but i love it, not to everybodys taste but on a black car i think it looks the nuts and is under the bonnet so not everyone see's it but suprises people when i pop the bonnet.
