Title: Help needed with hazard lights!
Post by: murraymint on 25 April 2012, 17:37
Hiya, my hazards lights ain't working properly. With the engine running they flash fine. But with engine off the green light on the dash stays on and the light in the hazard switch stays on too but no flashing.

I have searched and found some reads about it but didn't understand.

Please help as I'm dropping it off to the garage for the mot in about an hour!

It's a 90s spec 1.8 gl Jetta

Cheers
Josh

Sounds like relay is sticking or the switch is buggered?
Take both off and wiggle it, clean it and push it right in the fuse box!
Is the switch on the console or the steering wheel column?

Cheers jay. I've sorted it now. It's was the relay, I nicked the relay from my valver and now it's working fine. I must of knocked it out when I was fitting my remote central locking kit. Just paniced as its going for mot now.
