Iv run JOMs for a while they nothing special lasts about 18months but thats driving on brecon beacons everyday
They have 2 years warranty on most budget coil overs these days anyways and they take about 2 hours max to change all 4.

I find them comfy to be fair, I really dont moan when they blow either as they cheap and cheerful and do what it says on the tin haha
I would recomend them to anyone. 2 years warranty is really good too.

Got joms aswell. Very pleased with them, would much rather pay £170ish for coilies then the rest towards other mods then spend £3-400 pound on a "decent" make of coilies.

Would also recommend them

i bought some fks for £460, within a year, one of the front shocks were f*cked. and i couldn't find a replacement as they stopped making it. replaced them with some cheap joms, turns out the joms are comfier! oh yeh... and a lot cheaper!

Found the JOMs on my first Golf very crashy. My Anniversary came with TA sh!tbrix but I quickly replaced them with Weitec Hicon GT's. Worth the extra over budget brands if you ask me.

Weitec, Eibach and AP are no better than Raceland, TA technix, Jom.
you just pay for the name.

i agree and with joms being only £150 and 2 year warranty if they brake you aint lost a big lump of cash and they will get fixed or replaced happy days

Having both TAs and JOMs in my cars, I can say my Weitecs are far better than both.

Sorry i have had Joms and Weitiec on the same car and You are completly wrong it is well known with cheap coils you get bad ride comfort its a sacrifice for price!!! the Weitecs are very good ride comfort even slammed is a lot better than Joms!!

at the end of the day nothing wrong with Joms but spending more will get you a more comfortable ride!

damien010685 that the stupidest thing i have ever read, why lower your car if its comfort your after? doesn't make sense? coil-overs aint meant to be comfy.

more expensive kits are gonna be better no doubt you only get what you pay for and for what they are they aint as bad as some ppl make out if you want your car lower than just using springs but are on a tight budget then they are great if you get a million pound bonus every year and want summat a bit more special then theres plenty to choose from there are probably thousands of ppl now using the jom and fk kits with a mere handfull if that who have had problems

i have joms too, the price is sweet, and so is the ride, at the end of the day, if you lower your car, its going to be stiffer than standard shocks and springs anyway. i cant complain about the joms yet!

Of course they will be stiffer but xtetx if you had a set of blisteins on i dont think you would be unhappy and the ride comfort would be improved But as you say pound for pound the joms are good value

i dont disagree at all man, if i had blisteins on i'm sure it would improve the ride! i was just saying for the price, its a bargain!

I snapped a spring on Friday and ordered a set of joms, cheapest option and a mate had them on his golf and the ride was fine.

His rusted pretty quick though so I've painted mine for some extra protection and going to leather the threads in copper grease before fitting tomorrow

I had JOM temporarily and it was good for the money but made the upgrade to Bilstein B16 Pss9 and have to say JOM's will not compare with premium coilovers - you can't compare them. It has been a while since I made the change to bilstein b16 pss9 but I remember still the massive difference!

Driving in a straight line over imperfection you can actually feel the b16 pss9 coilovers working, in comparison the JOM felt like they were just along for the ride and did nothing. My coilovers are not made for comfort but the track and so even when I set the compression and rebound settings to soft it is still more harsh than oem, but the likes of the kw variant are renowned for their comfort. There's a lot that goes into the design of premium coilovers from the valving used to the spring rates. JOM are just for slamming.
