Please say youve missed a FMIC of your list accidentally??

i got told by r-tech a FMIC is a must if you want to make the most out of your ko3s........btw shaft69 were have you got your Water/Meth nozzle placed? reason i ask ive just brought the devils own kit and dont no were best to put it
-
Put my nozzle in boost hose before throttle housing modded pipe to 63mm, cut hose and put 63mm metal alloy pipe in between. Tapped hole in pipe and screwed inj nozzle into it. On my smic its huge biggest smic on market i think my nephew sent it from states for me cost $800 new. lad at work got turborev one for ebay cant compare the 2, work out volume size of tyrolsport to turborev it was around 2 and half times the size It is massive. So not changing it to fmic.

Potting and polish thought them days were over from my mk2 days with mad cams!!! There's a lad use to do mine years ago own place called race spec done mini's but jacked it in. Cost pretty penny now for price cost may as well get k04 from Audi tt and map that really. Got all bits ready to go on just not sure if fuel pump req'd may just fit it anyway.

Some head work helps
(http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j471/6rockmonkey9/1e5ba656.jpg)
And a fresh engine of course
(http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j471/6rockmonkey9/f32fd0e2.jpg)
I had my valves checked and it wasn't holding vacuum on 3 of the 8 exhaust valves and 2 of the 12 intake valves before the rebuild, plus my piston rings wasn't doing well with a lot of blow by. After the rebuild the engine is more torquey, much more responsive and better on fuel.
-
in all fairness mate the inside of the engine is almost as good looking and clean as the outside

Nozzles can be fitted in boost hose 3 different ways mines the 1st one screw into alloy pipe, 2nd is screwed into devilsown jet holder and 3rd using 2 washers either side of hose and tighten. Think my ways best, but up to you really.

Many thanks! I'm just trying to decide which turbo setup to go for once the engine is bedded in. Hopefully it'll be shiny too

Tbh your pretty much getting to the limits of the Ko3s anyways with 230/240bhp.
I wouldnt really hunt for much more with that turbo. I've been there and done this with my old Anni and worked it to the safe limit.
If you want more power then fit a K04-020, your see 270 with that pretty easy.
-
hope that bolt doesnt work its way loose
-
230-240bhp out of the ko3s easy, there is one guy pushing 248bhp, just imagine if he had water/meth injection 250-260bhp
-
Was speaking to my mate's mate works at turbo centre he can hybrid my turbo k03s for £450, put in thicker shaft replaces one of the wheels and other replaces with more agressive wheel. Says far better than k04-001 and stronger. Was telling what wheel they change and flows of turbo forgot most of it after 5mins knew his stuff.

wasnt it chris unfortunately he had a bad accident and the car is no more luckily he was ok with a few injuries
-
yeah it was me.
248bhp and 300lbft lbft potential torque (ran 297lbft once on R-tech dyno)
Water meth and vernier pulley with a set of forged rods and ported OEM exh. manifold will be added when rebuild.
Engine still runs spot on ;)
-
Superb mate
Will be fitting my WMI kit as soon as the weather picks up, then give R-Tech a bell
-
Just get it fitted!

Yep I can see that happening
Will enquire at work about getting some more pipe tomorrow (might even strike lucky and find some kicking about in the loft ) then start looking for pump/tank locations
Also I found a place in the UK that will do a level sensor for £25 + delivery
-
You want to keep your spare wheel?
Devils own float switch?
What I was thinking more along the lines of - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Horizontal-Water-Level-Sensor-Liquid-Float-Switch-PL-4-/160637663592?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item2566c03968

Indeed, hence mine going in the G2

Yeah that's the stuff Chris. We use it for compressed air so it should be fine for the WMI
-
Hell yeah, its the stuff they use on wagons! Rolls of it at the garage where i work
