Good evening all GTi'ers,
I am sure that this has been asked thousand times before, but how come come Mk5's I see have a blue tint to the windows and some don't' was it an option or something or part of a pack?
cheers

All pre 07 GTIs came with blue tinted windows.

Probably down to cost as with most things. They changed alot of things through production of the mk5, the colour of the windows, the type of fog lights (projector to reflector), moving the aerial from the rear window to the roof and a few other things I can't remember

Thank you got that reply, much appreciated.
I suppose that VW did those changes so that 'joe public' think that it is a new car for that year.

The blue tint looks great & i wish they had kept it for the GTI.

must admit I do like the blue tint from the bmw's mirrors....I replaced the glass in my previous car to the blue tint but not done it to my mk6.
