Title: Hi fellow dubbers
Post by: Adz Gti on 20 April 2012, 01:53
Im from East London, and i can proudly say i now own a MK4 GOLF 1.8T GTI.

Vehicle specs

Black
2002 plate
3 Door
Mileage - 103,000
Mint condition (Literally)
3 owners
Fully service history, VW up to 80 and then local garage from then all fully stamped
Water pump and timing belt changed at 90
and has also had clutch release bearing changed, clutch slave cylinder changed and dual mass flywheel with clutch changes - receipt to prove
oh its a 180bhp spec well thats what the guy said
i paid £2500

just wanted to know if that was a good price to pay

i've owned a vauxhall corsa c for four years which is now up for sale, being 22 going on 23 i decided things must change, the drive home was incredible, 1.2 to a 1.8t wow

anyways plans for the car to start of with

r32 or anniversary kit
badge-less grill
smoke the insides of the headlights
18" alloys, haven't decided on what though :/
coilovers
tints
de badge rear
and if i find some good enough bad boy bonnet

and after about a year or so when i have enough

forge turbo intake pipe(tip)
forge boost hoses
forge 007 recerc dump valve
forge cold air intake air filter
custom remap by r-tech
front mounted intercooler
g60 solid fly wheel and vr6 clutch

what you guys think ?

Compared to my sh**y corsa omg it is amazing, i know this is very stupid but im so used to picking up speed slowly in 5th gear on a dual carriageway and yesterday it picked up so quick i did 90 and didn't even realise, i change before 2000 revs for better fuel economy, is that good ?

I've got big plans for this car :)

Just wondering how to start a progress thread, cant find any links to start one

Anyways

Sold my bbs rx2 split 16" to my mate for £200 but before i gave them away i took a quick picture of how it would have looked on my gold

i've now decided that im putting on 18" 8j-8.5j front and 9j-9.5j back with black centre and polished dish, still deciding on what alloys though and saving up some monies

i also de badged the rear only left the standard vw badge on and at the front i change the chrome badges to this

i've ordered eyelids, dont know why but thought why not, also ordered a bora gear knob, i've carboned my centre dash surrounds planning on doing the drivers side handle and passengers, i'll be smoking my headlights soon

this is how my car sits atm

You need to PM JV to start a Dub Projects thread but you will need 10 posts before you can PM. Off Topic does not go towards your post count by the way. Or you can start a thread in Chat VW Related under Dub Rides.
