The intermittent wiper function on my Gti has stopped working. The regular wipers work fine but the intermittent function just wont work. The rear wiper works fine as well. Any helpful suggestions welcomed.

Relay is what I would guess at - No 19 in the fusebox...
Time to upgrade to a No99....

So Simple It Is A "Plug-N-Play" Item.
BRILLIANT ITEM... Changes Your Useless Single Swipe Every 10 Seconds - Front Intermittent Wiper, Into A Fully Programmable One Which You Can Change At The Flick Of A Wiper Arm Switch...
I Have Fitted These To All My Current & Previous MK2 Golf's & My Audi Coupe...
It Makes A World Of Difference When Driving In Spray/Drizzle/Rain etc...
How Does It Work? To set the time you will need to switch on the ignition, set the wipers to the intermittent setting then count the number of seconds you want then turn the wipers off, turn the wipers on again and that's it set. You can reset the time delay again by turning the wipers off and on again.

Yeah but when the rain slows/ speeds up a bit the setting will be wrong. If it was adjustable via a roller on the stalk like some cars I'd understand, but to re-programme it each time it changes isn't really a good idea, as it'll be wrong for the next shower..!

Rubbish.... They re-set them selves when they are turned off...
I've sold 100's of them and all my cars have 'em fitted and make one hell of a difference...

Oh fair play I thought the relay needed pulling/ re-setting each time, off the stalk is great.
