Title: sending large files by email

so, in a nutshell, i videoed some scumbag nicking a bike from outside some building I was in at the weekend

I need to send the video to the person who owned the bike..  trouble it its nearly 200mb and none of the servers i have tried like file sizes like that

can people suggest a way of sending the video file, without compression

i didn't.. it was in progress so I was on my way downstairs to find a policeman and apprehend the b@stard

Next time Keep filming!

Then show the film to the police.

That way the owner may get his bike back and the perp convicted.

i have another, albeit brief, video of him riding away on the bike

Wetransfer or Yousendit are also good - can send a file of upto 2gb.

this is the second part - but seeing as the owner of the bike already has the video to show to police i didn't see any point in uploading it, but i have now

the reason why I wanted to send the file to the owner is so that they can show it to the police and their insurance company - which is why i created this thread  :wink:

My girlfriend's bike was nicked from her work last week. She parked it outside of the shop she works and left it unlocked for a minute while she opened the back door and she got distracted, remembered about it half hour later and it was gone. Whoever nicked it doesn't realize the effects it's had, now she has to walk to work and uni rather than a quick cycle and it's proper bummed her out  :cry:

my ex left my door open on my car when we went into a shop to get something, was in a really rough area too.

£500 phone was on my seat (fallen out of my pocket as i got out)
£200+ head unit (which wasnt secured in properly at the time, you had to hold it in if you put your foot down  :grin: )
satnav
2 ipods
and a bank card


lukily non got niked, theif could have had a feild day though :grin:
