So last month, was on my way home from a day out with my mate, coming into barnsley town center from dodworth roundabout (junc 37 M1) sat waiting in traffic at the lights, then boom a dizzy blonde in a soft top vw beetle goes into me. Saw her from my mirror on he phone roll into me. great..
So since then I've been going back and forth with my insurance company to sort it all out, she admitted liability straight away.
Booked it into garage on Wednesday and got a hire car sent to me as I used a repair shop not on their authorized list. Its a really nice, 61 reg A3 s-line 140bhp 2.0TDI with DSG really nice, thinking of trading golf in for one.
So yesterday coming down the same road, at the same time, on the same day slowing down at the traffic and then boom, another thingy goes into the back of me. Hit quite hard this time though, his font end was f**ked and me and my girlfriend both done our necks in. I was absolutely fuming, I have never been so angry, I just couldn't think straight i just wanted to destroy something. The guy admitted liability, was just asking for pen and paper and gave me his details.
My mate was a few cars behind as we were on our way to his rugby match. Turns out, the guy is a member at the same rugby club as him so managed to get his number and contact him. He says hes admitted liability to his insurance company via SMS but will see if this is true.
Damage to the audi was minimal, the rear diffuser popped off a little and there some scratches, his 2002 subaru something (not impreza) was f**ked. Wish I had taken some photos but i suppose that don't really matter.
Just f**king gutted, another load of sh!t I got to deal with, this time with personal injury and its not my car. Very nice car too :(
Just been a sh!t weekend. Needed to rant anyone else had a sh!t weekend too?

I dropped my toast....
-
So you f**ked the hire car too?
That's on my list of things to do before I die!

Unlucky mate. Hope it gets all squared away sharpish!

kids and family driving to do some shopping, a tosser in a Renault Clio pulls out on me no signal, anti lock brakes kick in
then pulled up next to him!
Gave me abuse, seen the kids in the back still shouting abuse!
Wife saying don't do it!
It took all my will power to stop myself from raming him off the road and draging his sorry arse out of that sh!t car and rip a new hole in his face!
Kids saved me again!!!!
Close call he sped off and still end up behind me five miles down.
Looked in my rear mirror he starts sh!tting himself suddenly seeing me in front.
I Ignored it and drove off.

Always the thing to do to ensure that insurance premiums remain high.

Fixed? Tell me, how does everyone else get the means to pay when insurance premiums rise to pay for all the false claims?

Damn! That's some real bad luck fella, sounds as if the first claim is pretty straight forward but as for the second one as it involves injures don't expect the doe to come in soon as with all insurers if it involves them paying you they tend to kick there heals  but you probably already know this LOL
Anyway hope it all gets sorted soon but remember your premiums even tho your not at fault will go up!!! Your now known as a RISK!!!
Sorry pal....

By getting a job? You're missing the point.
If the op has suffered financial loss that his insurance company doesn't cover, only then in my opinion is he entitled to anything. Other than that, nilly willy claiming ensures that premiums remain high for all.
If you've got a chance, take a think about it.

Well the first claim went through fine, the car is now repaired and is in really good nick now. I didn't claim for personal injury as I didn't have a personal injury.
In the process of dealing with the second claim, been contacted by the third parties insurance regarding personal injuries as me and my passenger do have an injury. Its a bit more confusing as its a hirecar so I think theres going to be a lot of pissing around with this one.
Going to be sad giving the audi back, such a nice car :( very nice to drive.

Having been involved in my fair share of none fault accidents I am very familiar with when one should make an injury claim. I have only done so on one occasion, when having an injury. It does also assist in covering some of the cost I incurred as part of the accident but was not worth claiming for.
If you think that bogus claims are the sole reason behind high insurance prices then you are sincerely mistaken. I would bet my left boll0ck that if all bogus claims were stopped premium would still not come down.
If you've got a chance, take a mininute think about it
-
If anyone thinks that insurance premiums are high purely because of spurious injury claims then they need to look at who is behind most of the insurance companies....the banks and the city boys, all of which are quite happy to take your money from your cold dead fingers.
-
Insurance, like fuel is a commodity, only its illegal not to have it so they will charge whatever they like and people will pay it.
-
Same, just turned 21 and my insurance is only 650. Even on daft stuff like M5 etc its 1200 lol

I never said it's the sole cause, but it doesn't help.
People need to man up, grow up and stop claiming for what ever they can get their greedy hands on.

....the original post where its clearly stated

In this case I think they are more than entitled to claim. You cannot blame other motorists for you having to pay a higher premium.... well you can.... but it wont get you anywhere

I'm not talking specifically about the origional post, just in general.
Oh, and people really need to set their 'head restraints' correctly.

I would argue that more importantly people need to look where they are driving
