The front left hand side of my front bumper pulls out! I ahve had a look underneath and the metal part of the bumper is solid, the plastic part is coming away from the metal! I can't see how it attaches to the metal part, can anyone give me the heads up on this?
Cheers

its held in with plastic clips that are molded into the plastic of the bumper
-
Cheers mate, Can these be seen from the inside? as i can't see anything?
-
I would guess it easier to take the whole bumper off to have a look. I think it is only 4 bolts or something.
It sounds like the plastic clips on the bumper itself just need pushing back in to the bumper carrier (metal part).

Yeah, i was goig to remove it today, but the four bolts tht i need to remove (from Haynes) looks like it the main beam that the front mount is attached to and i got a bit scared in acse the whole engine dropped :) will removing these bolts cause anything else to move?

I know what you mean. It can be a bit deceptive. I have not done it myself (Yet), my mate Si had a similar worry. I believe that you need to get under the car to see the bolts you need to undo, but I am not sure.

The cars up on stilts as we speak, did the breaks today :) I can see the bolts just scared :)
cheers

Its just the outside bolts on each side you need to undo, The centre ones hold the main cross brace thing the engine sits on in place.
They just unscrew and the bumper slides off forwards.
-
what he said! just the outside bolts on each side good luck

PS don't drive it with the front bumper removed because the little bolts arn't strong enough. You might need to jack up the cross member slightly to get the bolt holes to line up again though.
If it was me I'd put a jack under the engine regardless just to be safe, but you should be fine as long as you only undo the large bolts as has been said.

Cheers guyz, you would have thought the larger bolts would have been for the cross member and the smaller ones for the bumper :)
