Title: Wheel Spacers
Post by: kahunajb on 15 April 2012, 11:27
Thinking of getting some 20mm wheel spacers what is the view from insurance companies, I am with Admiral? I am presuming if I didn't notify my insurance company then my insurance would be invalidated if they found out.

Your best bet is to call Admiral and ask them

Have you declared your lowering to Admiral because I would have thought spacers would not bother them. When I was with Admiral they did not want to touch any mods which is why I had to move to Flux Direct.

Admiral are a sister company to Bell who I'm with and they have no problem with mods.....

Did not want to touch mine so I had to move my insurance mid policy and the Missus's as we had a multi car policy but no good if mods not covered !!!!!

Not declared yet as still got one corner left to do but bloody bolt has rounded off. Spoke to them a few months ago and they said it would be approx £50 extra for lowering which they cover as long ad it doesn't exceed 50mm. Will ask them about spacers when I phone up to declare that I have lowered.

That might explain why they would not touch mine as I went for 80/90mm down on mine !!!!
