heard that i can get 200bhp from my 150bhp 1.8t with one of these - anyone tried and happy with results, theres a place in newport, westtec i think that has them
-
I have a revo remap, makes me do the sexwee thankyouplease. Might go for the phase2 revo that's just been released to make the most of my exhaust
my 150bhp 1.8T made 208bhp with revo and milltek exhaust on the old turbo. i have the before/after charts around somewhere.
basically it was 156bhp stock, 167bhp with exhaust, 208bhp and 245lbft with exhaust and remap.
-
sounds good, hope you have wipe clean seats
-
yep the revo gives a 1.8t dbw 212 bhp westec in newport do the remap had mine done and very happy with it wort the extra £40-50 for the 4bar fuel pressure regulator too
-
im looking at keeping the overall look standard not fancy exhausts, etc but i like the street sleeper option, 200bhp in a normal looking car
-
yep the revo gives a 1.8t dbw 212 bhp
mines non-dbw
-
I can recommend westec too, I got revo with 4 bar, done two rolling roads got 220bhp and 224bhp

I doubt a K03 will flow enough air at high rpms to make over 200bhp, it just runs out of puff way too soon.
Have you considered a K03sport turbo?
-
yeah had a k03s fitted last year. all the dyno results (on my old k03) are from stealth, as we all know you cant put too much faith in the 208bhp it showed, or on any rollers really.. but either way it was a 52 bhp increase from when it went in, and made me happy in the pants

I bet it made you happy
Have you had your K03s mapped?
If so did you notice a big difference going from the K03?
-
two seperate trips to jabba with no result for the mapping. first time mike couldnt get a stock map for my car (it had revo on at the time) second trip after i had the ecu reflashed to stock.. they couldnt solve an overboost problem, it runs fine though on revo and i only had the k03s because my old one died.
i may go see james for customcode but tbh all my money/attention goes on the rallye these days, the mk4 gets me to work and back.

That was when it was slightly modified....... Toph has a need for speed

got a five hour trial this morning - what a car, revs like mad, its the way vw should have made it, so so good, i cant find the words - amazing
-
most people i've known who had the five hour trial.. only got as far as a few miles before turning back and paying for the full software
-
the guy came out with me to start off, as soon as i put my foot down i wanted it straight away
-
Revo is definitely nice. You will have a different car once it's done.
I wish I hadn't waited so long to get mine
-
had it fitted this morning, its incredible, set up for super unleaded as well, just gotta find the money to run the bloody thing now
-
Shell optimax is the fuel you need to use with it, 98ron, higher octane than super unleaded.
Revo is designed for 95ron(Unleaded) or 98ron(optimax)
-
problem is there aint a close shell station, nearest one is in crumlin, by the time i get back home itll all be gone
-
where u from cotters, where do you work?
-
live in tredegar work in blackwood
-
I can fully recommend Westec as well
Thanks for the positive comments guys! Always welcome, we do everything along the lines of Revo, big turbos, etc.
