Post by: Madone_si on 02 June 2005, 14:43
Does anyone know the best companies to buy garage tools from - I need to replace my jack - 3 ton spec, plus buy some addtional tools for bodywork prep and welding tools?

I need to get that Old skool cab finished this year...

Clarke from Machinemart are good. They also have shop outlets. Just remember all prices Do Not include VAT.

Looking at getting some air-tools as my mate has stashed his copressor in my garage!! He he!

I've got the big trolley jack its good - but a bit sharp/quick on lowering so go gentle.

So what have you got already then Rich? I'm ordering a spray compressor and gun and sandblasting equipment, with new jack of course. for starters!!!

Already got a compressor and a vast array of air tools (drills, spray guns, sanders, air ratchets etc.) Just bought a replacement inflatascope for pumping up the tyres as my old one has had it, a paraffin gun and a touch up air brush. Recently bought the sandblaster (great bit of kit). Previous order to that was a bearing puller set, and a couple of tools that allow you to do the valve guide oil seals without removing the head.
Sounds like my jack is similar to your Len, you have to be really careful when dropping it down as it can go suddenly if you're not used to it.
