Hello out there. I'm still having problems with my 16v. I had the throttle microswitch cleaned out & the car doesn't cut out now when I slow down at junction etc. and the revs drop.Is it worth changing the this switch for a new one? Are they expensive? The car is still juddering though, sometimes when I put pressure on the pedal there is a delay then an engine judder and yesterday while coming to work on the M4 when accelerating I could feel the car juddering at higher speeds. First time that's happened. About 2 yrs ago I had a similar problem and I had the fuel filter which is located in the fuel tank changed. But now I think the fuel filter which sits under the chassis of the car may need changing. Its never been changed, the car was born in '91.
It may be the change of weather but the car is losing water aswell, I have to fill it up once a week now, I don't think it's the water pump.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi mate, the switch is abut £40 from what i remember!
The judder and delay sounds like the isv module, it's located behind the center console inside the car! can you swap it with someone elses to test it?
No idea about the water though, sorry
the fuel filter is easy to change as is only about £6 i think, even i changed my own :)

Common places for the MK2 engines to leak:
Coolant hose plastic flanges on the block, especially the one on the right side
Out the expansion tank cap, buy a new blue one if you havent already
Heater Matrix - Check for wet carpets, coolant smells and if your screen mists up when set to defrost
Radiator
