Title: Chocolate gear box :-D

Well, the piece of rubbish 1.6 box is out.
Was up till 1am fitting the new gearbox we got from breakers yard!
Got it runnin again and the gearbox we've got in is so much smoother!
Cost:
£225 gearbox
£108 clutch
£30 in mcdonalds food and coffee

Was worth not taking it to a garage :)

Take gear box.....put new in :grin:

Glad its sorted total cost was less than a flywheel for me :lipsrsealed:

And lucky you only got a small 1.6 box the tdi 6 speed is fooking heavy!

well done chap i used to be the same with nova's i recon i could change gear box in 3hrs but a golf's a differnt ball game hats off to you and you bro let us know if its gonna be what yuo hoped it would be  :cool:
