can a tow bar be fitted without having to chop the bumper, and can it be removed when not being used?
i want to start gettig my other car back out but it will have to go on a trailer

cant see a towbar fitting under the rear valance with out chopping, could be a possibility that you could just take off the rear valance when needed? however not sure on the legalitys of that and weather its as easy as the front to remove?

You need to chop the valance for every type of tow bar.
Ive got a detachible swan neck type and had to cut about 189mm x 80mm out the valance but when the tow bar is removed and the electrics plug is pushed up you can see anything.
With the normal type tow bar you can remove the tow ball but will have the bracket and electrics still on show.

or again, not sure how easy the valance is to remove but you may be able to get a spare for when the towbar isnt in use?

You have to chop a small piece out of the bumper. I removed my towbar when I bought it and you wouldn't even know that you have to cut a piece out...I'll take a snap for you tomorrow if you'd like :smiley:

You would have to remove the tow bar completely every time you want to put the valance back on though

Like Steve I have the VW detachable one, you wouldn't know when looking at the car from behind as the slot cut in the valance is underneath :afro:
