Title: What the hell is this colour called

Tearing my hair out, no colour code info anywhere on the car or handbook, so does anyone know what this colour is called?

Service book should have paint code.
If all else fails call vw quoting number plate or chassis code, and ask for the colour.

have u checked the sticker in the boot under the carpet, if not halfords would be able to get u the name and code free and then its ur choice where u get it from. hope it helps

Looks like LC2U Sherry pearl metallic to me, but yeah dealer should help you out if you give them your chassis and engine number.

If it's one of the earlier mk3's,which it looks like judging by the style of wheels , it's most probably INDIANA RED but I'm not sure what the paint code is

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is INdian Fire red - i think it was a VR6 / GTI only colour.

Basically a nice metallic burgundy

I've often seen that colour referred to as Indian Summer Red, I don't know if this is any help :undecided:.

Nice car by the way, I like that colour :cool:.

Thanks for the advice, I thought it was indian red but the halford guy though different. Am hoping to put the car in as a project on the forum, basically I am putting the body straight, fitting a different dash and finally will be putting the 1.8T that I have in my shed into it.
