It is usually is a poor fit
-
And who wants to be fixing it everytime you get a knock at least with Plastic it will take a knock But whoever paid £234 for a fibreglass replica bumper is a complete tool id rather have paid an extra 100 and got gen
-
the fibreglass ones look better when painted and fitted there alot less square than the abs ones
-
the fibreglass ones look better when painted and fitted there alot less square than the abs ones
Well thats simply not true mate i have seen some horrendous Fibreglass ones that even with paint should be burned!!! all depends on the quality of the rep mate simple!! Gen FTW
-
gen doesnt always fit better either take a look at danz on uk mk-ivs he went from abs rep to gen and said himself that the rep was a lot better fit and as said some of the reps do look quite square as opposed to others
-
O i know some are a nightmare i looked in to it but theres far to many folk up this way with R32 kits so i did not bother in the end it all comes down to the kit but i know gen has its problems lik anything though with a good bit of tweeking it will fit!!
-
agree mate there are a lot starting to float about my way at one point i think i was the only one with r32 and the only jazz blue golf in town now every other street as one

Move up here then i have not seen 1 jazz blue golf at all... is a nice colour like stand out i just like silver dont know why but both my golfs so far have been silver
-
Back to the original point... How much did you pay for it Turbokid23?
-
how much
-
have not seen eney round by me so thought r32 couple of anni around
-
my name is jason you all want to no £19.95
-
should have kept it going  is a bargain even if it only last a few months you aint lost loads of cash
-
was going to mate but am on i phone and its a pain going to paige 4 and on but got the rear at even better price :)
-
-
not far of then with that first guess
-
i text cully telling him how close you was not a bad gess lol
-
lol did i win anything then?
-
At that price, I don't blame you, although ABS plastic would be my preferred choice
-
To be fair, for £20 you can't really go wrong
-
Plus I only have to bye the paint and my mates dad is spraying it and fitting :)
-
worth a gamble for £20
-
That's the idea mate smooth it and if the r32 bumper smashes will put my bumper bk on
-
whats the rear mate fibreglass or abs
-
So if I could get the full kit already painted to the colour of my car pretty cheap, it's worth it even though it's made of
sh!t fibreglass?
-
gen doesnt always fit better either take a look at danz on uk mk-ivs he went from abs rep to gen and said himself that the rep was a lot better fit and as said some of the reps do look quite square as opposed to others
My genuine bumper fits perfect as you would expect from a genuine bumper from vw lol
-
not disputing that gen fit good its just some dont be it gen or not
-
Jen is 400+ and when you got morgae to pay and a 2 year old it's a lot of money,, rear is fiber aswell the rear was fitted to the car and I went a took it off and that was a super fit and the rear cost me £30 so £50 for the 2 ay bad :)
-

lol @ everybody slating fibreglass, small boats don't shatter when they get hit
True  i was meaning more about fitment gaps around the headlights etc but as said for £20 cant go wrong
-
I know you were mate. I just don't get the general slating of fibreglass as a material. If it's so bad why have I just made a load of bits for a submarine out of it

Didn't realise that Mk3's were so strong!?
-
fibregash the only time fibre glass should be used is when lazy people cant be arsed welding sh!t old fords up
-
ah so that's why the MOD use fibreglass on the Trident then
-

-
the only thing that makes it crap is if you make everything out of chopped strand (which most companies do) and you have clueless morons making it. Everyone thinks they can laminate...
-
This 1 is not to bad it's a bit stiff for fiberglass it's norm flimsy and crap but seems solid will get better pics tomorrow and show u all
