Title: How can I get M3 style rear lights to look like these?
Post by: RobinGolf on 01 June 2005, 19:48
Any ideas how to get crystal M3 rear lights looking like this without the red bit on the top strip? Found pic on demonvw.

Does anyone remember seeing this car in PVW issue 85 Nov 03 with completely red crystal rears?! I would love to be able to know how to knock some of them up! Any one know how it was done?

Yeah this is the way to do it, the spray is a tenner then just mask off the top and off you go!!

As long as it wont flake off like some of the maxpower cars I have seen about!

Going into body shop soon so might get them done all in red and lacquered to keep them looking good

i think the lens tint is made by savage, i used it on my last car (astra mk4) to tint the yellow in the rear lens red, what i did was spray it on (not too thick!) then use some T cut to bring it up nice and shiney, it wont flake off if you use the propper lens tint. Oh and dont spray it in cold conditions like i did the first time i used it, it goes cloudy!
