Post by: shelaghmk3gti on 12 April 2012, 15:06
did a quote for my sons insurance on my mk3 gti 8v ( hes 18 with a provisional) and it came back at

i was genuinely shocked £1,199 fully comp in a car valued up to £20,000( and they get to create there own NCB).. when i tried to put him on mine it was going to cost £3-4 grand

ps i found this info by going thru compare the market ( comes up as collingswood) so chances are it would be cheaper again going direct

Provisional driver insurance is cheap, you'll probably find it cheaper than that.. the real cost increase comes when he/she passes their test..
