Title: Errors MK5 gti after battery removal
Post by: steelandy on 12 April 2012, 13:23
Hi,

I am having some problems after removing the battery on my mk5 gti. did this to reset error codes from ecu as recommended by the garage i went to for my exhaust.

However after restarting the car i have error lights on the steering, esp and tyre sensors.

Any ideas?

thanks.

edit - went for drive all reset and all is well.

the tyre pressure light will turn off if you press and hold the button until you hear a beep and as for the ESP and steering light they are on due to the steering angle sensor looseing it's live feed, drive in a straight line and the lights should go out other than that you may have to carry out basic settings of the angle sensor
